Enterprise Cloud and AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure utilizing .NET/C# as the core technology, while applying robust architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

• Create and sustain the middleware, API, and integration layers that connect backend services with modern front-end frameworks (Next.js, React) and native mobile applications.

• Integrate enterprise backend systems including CMS/DXP platforms, Salesforce, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Graph, ensuring a secure and reliable flow of data across the ecosystem.

• Collaborate with SQL and document databases (such as Cosmos DB) and Microsoft Fabric to design data models and pipelines that cater to both application and analytics requirements.

• Develop and implement AI-powered functionalities and agentic experiences leveraging Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Machine Learning.

• Architect solutions focusing on performance, security, and scalability while applying effective patterns for authentication/authorization, caching, messaging, and resilient service-to-service communication.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, promoting automated build, testing, and deployment processes across environments.

• Utilize AI-driven development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) to enhance delivery speed, accelerate prototyping, and elevate code quality across the team.

• Collaborate with front-end and mobile engineers to establish clear API contracts and shared data models that maintain synchronization between client and server as products evolve.

• Act as a technical lead during client engagements, translating business requirements into practical architecture and mentoring developers through code reviews and hands-on support.

• Work alongside architects within the Experience practice (DXP, Modern Workplace) to ensure backend and integration decisions align with the overall platform strategy.

• Contribute to Genpact Experience’s engineering practices through the development of reusable accelerators, internal tools, and documentation that enhance delivery quality across projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of professional software development experience, with significant expertise in .NET/C# and Microsoft Azure as foundational technologies.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and constructing middleware, APIs, and integration layers connecting backend systems to modern front-end and mobile applications.

• Practical experience with integrating enterprise platforms such as CMS/DXP systems, Salesforce, SharePoint/M365, or Microsoft Graph.

• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server) and document/NoSQL databases (like Cosmos DB or similar), along with familiarity with Microsoft Fabric for data and analytics.

• Hands-on experience in building AI-powered features using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Search, Azure Machine Learning, or Microsoft Copilot Studio/Foundry.

• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns: microservices, event-driven design, caching, messaging, and secure API design.

• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

• Proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Codex) as part of the daily engineering workflow.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of working directly with clients and cross-functional teams, as well as mentoring other developers.

• Previous experience in consulting, agency, or multi-client delivery environments is advantageous.
