English Instructor – FT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.

📋 Description

• Facilitate small group sessions to enhance students' core English skills, fostering a deep understanding of subjects and achieving high scores on college readiness tests (ACT & SAT).

• Monitor and assess your students' progress as they navigate Vanguard’s distinctive multi-phase curriculum, providing tailored opportunities for personal growth and development.

• Demonstrate professionalism and excellent organizational abilities by responding to students promptly, managing and updating lesson schedules on our online platform, and ensuring students meet their assignment deadlines.

• Lead the creative design and implementation of dynamic lesson plans and curriculum that evolve over time.

• Guide middle and high school students with compassion, recognizing the increasing competitiveness and stress associated with the college application process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities discipline (such as English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.), with a Master’s degree or higher preferred.

• At least 1 year of teaching experience in English or experience in a college-level Writing Center.

• A minimum GPA of 3.5.

• Exceptional verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English language.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.

• Availability of a stable internet connection and a quiet workspace free from distractions.
