Engineering Technician – Remote with Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provide support to Niagara Facilities through plant assistance.

• Offer expertise and aid to plant maintenance teams and internal Engineering Technicians.

• Assist with necessary repairs on production machinery as required.

• Supply information critical for the long-term success of facilities, including but not limited to the Focus Line Process.

• Identify issues and signs of wear and tear on machine centers across all lines.

• Conduct root cause analysis to determine corrective actions.

• Develop recommendations for parts and labor required during annual rebuilds and overhauls.

• Collaborate in teams of four, alongside plant maintenance teams.

• Prepare machine centers for repairs and rebuilds identified during Diagnostic Visits.

• Participate in machine center-specific master class training as a foundation.

• Assist in training Engineering Technicians through an On-the-Job Training (OJT) format.

• Recommend machine center specific training modules for Engineering Technicians that extend beyond the OJT system.

• Support the ongoing development and implementation of the OJT style training for our group.

• 0 Years – Experience in managing people or projects.

• Ability to collaborate with others, often in teams of four or occasionally larger groups.

• Some proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, etc.

• Demonstrated leadership skills when working both independently and within teams to complete projects safely and efficiently.

• Must be regarded as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in a specific machine center relevant to Niagara Bottling's business requirements.
