This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Responsible for owning, governing, and continuously enhancing the primary process for change and build within the engineering organization; this includes the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product management, customer support, IT, infosec, and platform to ensure awareness and seamless integration of the process.
• Guarantee compliance with established SDLC stages, quality gates, and release criteria.
• Oversee traceability from requirements through to implementation, testing, and release.
• Identify and escalate delivery risks or deviations in the process, along with proposing corrective measures.
• Balance the necessity for standardization against the benefits of maintaining advantageous process variations.
• Incorporate secure SDLC principles and other relevant compliance factors as necessary.
• Establish and track operational KPIs for evaluating organizational performance.
• Deliver structured performance reports to various levels within the organization.
• Facilitate improvement initiatives based on gathered insights.
• Work in coordination with Lead Developers and technical platform teams to ensure stable and effective CI/CD practices.
• Ensure that teams and external partners adhere to defined toolchain and workflow standards.
• Monitor pipeline performance and escalate systemic challenges as needed.
• Minimum of 7 years in software development environments.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or outsourced engineering teams.
• Previous roles as a senior developer, QA lead, engineering manager, or technical program lead.
• In-depth understanding of Agile development methodologies.
• Strong grasp of CI/CD, DevOps principles, and engineering quality standards.
• Analytical, data-driven mindset with the capability to create BI reports.
• Ability to influence senior technical stakeholders without direct authority.
• Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to lead change in partnership with various stakeholders.
• Experience in SaaS or telecommunications software environments is a plus.
