This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +7 more states.
• Mentor and cultivate engineers through consistent one-on-one meetings, establishing clear expectations and providing opportunities that enhance their skills and align with their objectives.
• Influence the experimentation roadmap by collaborating with cross-functional colleagues as a strategic advisor. Assist your team in navigating trade-offs and ensuring predictable delivery by segmenting work into manageable increments.
• Promote a culture of experimentation, aiding your team in properly instrumenting features, designing dependable tests, upholding engineering standards, and iterating swiftly to derive insights and learn from both successes and setbacks.
• Direct the technical vision for GameChanger’s experimentation platform, addressing the experimentation requirements of other teams and guiding them in executing effective A/B tests.
• Collaborate with other engineering leaders to enhance our organizational culture, craftsmanship, and engineering practices.
• Recruit and onboard exceptional engineering talent, ensuring alignment with our core values, technical proficiency, and AI literacy in their work approach.
• Over 3 years of experience leading engineering teams and more than 5 years in software development, encompassing architectural design and technical leadership, with a proven history of nurturing engineering talent.
• Technically proficient across various platforms, including native iOS or Android development, as well as web and backend technologies.
• Highly organized, strategic, and execution-focused, with a strong capability to transform ambiguity into clear plans, aligned priorities, and deliverable increments.
• Comfortable operating in a metrics-oriented environment, with a grasp of how A/B testing, funnel analysis, and behavioral data influence product and engineering decisions.
• Believes that speed and maintaining engineering integrity are complementary rather than conflicting. You hold the same standards for code quality, testing, and system health in experimental work as you do in core products, ensuring your team adheres to these standards regardless of whether the task is a short-term test or a long-term commitment.
• Engaged in enhancing your own AI literacy and assisting your team in doing the same. You maintain high standards for judgment and accountability, irrespective of how the code is developed.
