This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of platform engineers specializing in Infrastructure, DevOps, and Developer Experience.
• Establish the technical vision for platform architecture and ensure the successful execution of the roadmap.
• Balance immediate project delivery with long-term investments in tools, infrastructure, and reliability.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and operational tools within a regulated environment.
• Design and create AI-driven internal tools and automated workflows that enhance task efficiency and boost engineering productivity.
• Enhance developer productivity by minimizing obstacles in onboarding, CI/CD, and local-to-production workflows.
• Ensure systems remain secure, scalable, observable, and resilient as Shakepay expands.
• Take ownership of incident management practices, postmortems, and the sustainability of the on-call rotation.
• Work closely with product engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders.
• Promote platform initiatives by linking technical projects to business outcomes and customer value.
• Over 10 years of experience in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE positions.
• More than 3 years of experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Proficiency with technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, Datadog, PostgreSQL, CI/CD tooling, and GitOps.
• Experience in operating production systems and participating in on-call rotations.
• Capability to set the technical direction for both developer experience and infrastructure.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with an emphasis on business impact.
• Familiarity with utilizing AI tools in daily workflows to enhance development, debugging, and learning processes.
