This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.
• Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to formulate and implement the frontend engineering strategy.
• Lead, manage, and mentor a skilled team of full stack engineers, enhancing the development of visually appealing and enjoyable user experiences.
• Take ownership of the frontend function, establishing the technical direction and ensuring it aligns with the company's goals.
• Provide technical expertise to advance Givebutter’s software; ensure that the architecture and tech stack are optimized for expansion.
• Enhance internal engineering processes by consistently refining best practices.
• Advocate for code quality throughout the team and maintain high standards for sustainable and scalable solutions.
• Possess a passion for creating beautiful, user-friendly, and accessible web applications.
• Assess and implement AI and machine learning tools—such as LLMs, recommendation systems, or predictive analytics—to foster innovation in product development.
• Over 7 years of experience in frontend development with a strong command of modern web technologies (e.g., React, React Native, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP/Laravel).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing a team of 5 or more engineers.
• Practical experience in designing and developing scalable, high-quality customer-facing software.
• Proven track record in people management, mentorship, and effective communication.
• Demonstrated success in recruiting and nurturing remote engineering teams.
• Experience in a product-led growth environment is highly advantageous.
