Engineering Manager – Frontend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the Frontend Platform team, taking responsibility for the health, delivery, and strategic direction of shared frontend infrastructure and data/reporting systems.

• Provide technical contributions through code reviews, pairing, architectural insights, and engaging in critical tasks as necessary.

• Own and enhance Wrapbook's shared component system, which includes the design system, data grids, reporting frameworks, and shared UI infrastructure.

• Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional engineering teams to define and execute the roadmap.

• Establish a high standard for frontend quality, performance, and developer experience throughout the organization.

• Foster the growth of the team through coaching, recruitment, and by cultivating an environment that enables engineers to excel.

• Lead technical design reviews and advocate for engineering-specific roadmap initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of engineering management experience, complemented by a robust background as an individual contributor.

• Demonstrated comfort in a player/coach model — capable of leading and delivering results.

• Extensive frontend expertise with technologies such as StimulusJS, Hotwire, component systems, and contemporary frontend tools.

• Experience in building or managing shared component libraries or design systems.

• Familiarity with data/reporting systems and the patterns that facilitate their scalability.

• Strong collaboration skills across functions — effectively work with product, design, and platform colleagues.

• Proven experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
