Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, mentor, and assist a team of approximately 9 engineers within the Runtime function.

• Foster a positive, high-trust team atmosphere with a strong emphasis on people management and team welfare.

• Lead the planning, prioritization, and execution of intricate technical workstreams.

• Negotiate timelines and delivery trade-offs with stakeholders in a clear and pragmatic manner.

• Acquire sufficient technical context to comprehend architectural discussions and aid in translating them into actionable plans.

• Collaborate closely with technical leaders and contributors to ensure project progress and remove obstacles to delivery.

• Enhance team workflows, communication, and delivery predictability in a distributed environment.

• Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and continuous development of team members as the organization expands.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering or highly technical teams in a role such as Engineering Manager or Technical Project Manager.

• Strong people management capabilities, with a history of cultivating healthy teams and fostering individual development.

• Exceptional project and delivery management skills, encompassing planning, dependency management, and stakeholder communication.

• Adequate technical knowledge to understand complex system architecture and collaborate effectively with senior engineers.

• Comfortable in a position that emphasizes leadership and delivery rather than hands-on coding.

• Strong judgment in balancing technical complexity, team well-being, and delivery results.

• Experience working with distributed teams, preferably across Europe or in closely aligned European time zones.

• Nice to have: background in similarly technical or infrastructure-heavy environments.
