Engineering Lead – TypeScript, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Guide the technical vision and architecture for your squad's domain.

• Facilitate design reviews, establish coding standards, and promote engineering excellence.

• Take ownership of the complete delivery of intricate, cross-team technical projects.

• Develop, scale, and manage Node.js/TypeScript backend services on AWS/EKS.

• Establish the infrastructure and reliability strategy for your team's systems.

• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to convert business objectives into technical roadmaps.

• Mentor engineers through one-on-one sessions, code reviews, and technical coaching.

• Recognize systemic risks and implement improvements proactively to prevent incidents.

• Advocate for engineering culture emphasizing psychological safety, pragmatism, and craftsmanship.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• More than 2 years of experience in leading an engineering team, whether formally or informally.

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Strong understanding of industry best practices such as SOLID, KISS, YAGNI, DDD, TDD, etc.

• Demonstrated ability to own and execute large technical projects with inter-team dependencies.

• Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Proven history of developing engineers and cultivating high-performing teams.

• Capability to balance rapid delivery with long-term technical sustainability.
