Engineering Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and enhance the architecture, which includes cloud infrastructure.

• Spearhead the development of intricate, high-impact features across the platform.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the system and advocate for simplicity whenever feasible.

• Make practical technical choices that strike a balance between speed, scalability, and reliability.

• Continuously deliver updates, iterating swiftly based on feedback and actual usage.

• Establish a standard for engineering quality, accountability, and execution.

• Work closely with the product team to ensure that our creations are genuinely useful rather than merely technically impressive.

• Assist in scaling the team over time through hiring, mentoring, and enhancing engineers' skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in building and launching real products, preferably in B2B SaaS or Media technology.

• Strong full-stack experience within the TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystems.

• Experience with complex systems and a solid understanding of their end-to-end functionality.

• Ability to discern where details are crucial and where simplicity is key.

• Comfort in taking ownership of decisions and being accountable for the results.

• A tendency to take action, while still valuing thoughtful consideration.

• An understanding of user behavior that goes beyond implementation, enabling pragmatic decisions about what to build and why.

• A genuine interest in creating solutions that people find valuable.

• Experience in leading teams through periods of growth and enhancing their effectiveness as they expand.

• Familiarity with areas beyond just application code, including cloud infrastructure.
