This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, nurture, and expand a multi-team organization comprising managers and senior engineers across Infrastructure Services and Developer Tooling.
• Define and implement the vision for enhancing developer experience, which includes build, test, deployment, artifact management, internal platform functionalities, and AI-augmented developer workflows.
• Take ownership of the strategy and implementation of AI tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), such as AI coding assistants, AI code review and pull request automation, AI-assisted test generation, and AI engineering intelligence platforms. Promote adoption, assess impact, and ensure safe and effective deployment of these tools.
• Guarantee the availability, performance, and security of the systems that engineers rely on daily.
• Propel the advancement of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to be quicker, more reliable, self-service oriented, and secure, incorporating AI capabilities like automated triage, intelligent test selection, and AI-assisted incident response.
• Establish metrics and leverage them to drive measurable enhancements in developer productivity.
• Collaborate with security, legal, and AI leadership to formulate policies regarding AI-generated code, intellectual property and licensing, data management, model selection, and acceptable-use guidelines.
• Work alongside security, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), product engineering, architecture, and AI/ML teams to align on standards, best practices, and shared platforms.
• Manage the budget, tooling investments, and vendor relationships for the developer experience portfolio, including expenditures related to AI tools.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain outstanding engineering leaders and individual contributors.
• Over 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including more than 5 years in engineering management and at least 2 years in a role leading managers (managing managers).
• Proven track record in building and scaling developer experience, platform engineering, or DevOps organizations within a mid-to-large engineering organization.
• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of the contemporary CI/CD and developer tooling stack: Jenkins, ArgoCD, Artifactory, or similar tools.
• Practical experience in evaluating, implementing, and assessing the impact of AI developer tools.
• A well-defined perspective on how AI transforms the SDLC and strategies to harness that value without compromising security, code quality, or developer trust.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, GitOps, containerization, and cloud-native deployment methodologies.
• Experience in defining and managing internal developer platforms and best practices.
• Excellent strategic thinking, combined with a readiness to delve into technical decisions when necessary.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence; capable of influencing across engineering and collaborating with security, compliance, legal, and product leadership.
