This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate engineering data sources, definitions, ownership, workflows, quality challenges, dependencies, and integration deficiencies
• Define the desired state of engineering data architecture, governance framework, and a phased implementation plan
• Create standardized models, taxonomies, metadata, lineage, stewardship, access protocols, lifecycle management, and quality benchmarks
• Design and execute data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, integrations, semantic frameworks, dashboards, and quality assurance tools
• Provide solutions utilizing SQL, Python, Azure, Databricks, Power BI, and other relevant technologies
• Integrate Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Forma, Autodesk Platform Services, along with other engineering or business systems
• Collaborate across engineering and Digital Engineering departments to develop reusable data assets for analytics, automation, AI, and reporting
• Manage data protection requirements, document decisions, evaluate platforms, and communicate priorities, risks, and results
• Generate a documented current-state assessment, target architecture, and phased implementation roadmap
• Establish uniform engineering data definitions, standards, ownership, lineage, and quality practices
• Enhance data accessibility and deliver reliable products that support engineering analytics, automation, and AI
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Seven or more years of pertinent experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, or data governance
• Proven experience in delivering enterprise-scale data solutions and contemporary cloud analytical frameworks
• Proficient skills in SQL, data modeling, integration, and ETL/ELT processes
• Practical experience with data pipelines and data quality management
• Understanding of governance, metadata, lineage, stewardship, access, and lifecycle management principles
• Capability to translate architectural strategy into actionable solutions and a feasible roadmap
• Strong analytical, facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication abilities
• Experience with Azure data services, Databricks, lakehouse architecture, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Python is preferred
• Familiarity with the AEC industry and knowledge of Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Forma, Autodesk Platform Services, or the AEC Data Model is preferred
• Experience integrating data with C#/.NET applications or working alongside C#/.NET development teams is preferred
• Familiarity with metadata catalogs, observability, event-driven integrations, APIs, and data architecture for AI or machine learning is preferred
