Engineering Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Perform routine technical site visits, equipment inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and assist with compliance audits across Flexible Engineering/FM accounts.

• Supervise essential maintenance programs, building management systems, and implement effective solutions to enhance asset reliability and performance.

• Manage and maintain building management systems, HVAC controls, and monitoring equipment at designated facilities.

• Cultivate relationships with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and installations, ensuring quality validation and compliance verification.

• Offer engineering support to account managers and site teams, troubleshoot intricate equipment failures, and conduct root cause analysis on recurring challenges.

• Engage in client meetings by providing technical insights and aiding with the technical components of proposals, scope modifications, and service enhancement initiatives.

• Create technical reports, presentations, and findings for clients and stakeholders, documenting best practices and formulating site-specific protocols.

• Collaborate extensively with other COE functions to optimize platform program value and leverage SME expertise across accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering operations within IFM.

• A degree in engineering or a technical field is preferred; however, substantial relevant field experience may be considered in lieu.

• A continuous improvement mindset is essential, with the ability to advocate for change among teams.

• Proven experience in driving and executing large-scale initiatives and programs across diverse people, assets, and geographies.

• The role may require 10% travel.

• A general understanding of Engineering Delivery, commercial implications, risk management, and change management is necessary.

• Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills with the ability to quickly identify, address, and resolve issues.

• A comprehensive understanding of various IFM commercial structures and their implications for operational delivery, particularly in the ANZ market.
