This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• The Project Engineer will swiftly acquire an understanding and operational knowledge of Veregy’s Digital Service and Building Automation solutions.
• This role involves overseeing the design, execution, and enhancement of digital services, including various maintenance programs, energy analytics, and building automation services.
• Responsible for the punctual delivery of energy optimization services for building automation systems, executing digital service contracts, and overseeing related software services.
• Manage engineering support, establish and uphold project timelines, engage directly with customers, conduct periodic owner training sessions, provide progress updates, handle contract management, and oversee project budget management.
• Design, program, monitor, maintain, and optimize building automation systems along with their graphical user interfaces.
• Engage in project development and cost estimation for various digital service offerings.
• Assist in and manage building automation or digitally focused projects by leading progress meetings, supervising subcontractors, ordering materials, and managing budgets.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries or occupant comfort complaints and building automation issues promptly.
• Create and oversee project implementation schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
• Communicate with clients to provide a customer-focused, high-quality product.
• Liaise with internal project managers to ensure project expectations and execution standards are fulfilled.
• Assign and manage tasks related to project engineering.
• Oversee project budgets and provide progress reports.
• Develop close-out documentation or system documentation for clients.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, or software) from an accredited four-year institution; or three or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in building automation system design, implementation, and project management is required.
• Experience in project leadership or management.
• Strong analytical skills coupled with problem-solving capabilities.
• Detail-oriented multi-tasker.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and diplomatic communication skills.
• Strong collaborative skills: ability to work with other engineers or clients to systematically resolve complex issues.
• Eagerness to innovate with new processes and energy-efficient systems.
• Outgoing, energetic self-starter.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
