Engineer – HPC Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• You will take the lead in the engineering and operations for the design, construction, and maintenance of scalable HPC platforms.

• Your contributions will be vital in facilitating HPC infrastructure and enhancing user experiences.

• Collaborate with researchers and scientists to enhance performance and optimize workflows.

• Utilize tooling and automation for orchestration, resource scheduling, data access, and ensuring reproducibility.

• Develop and manage both public cloud and on-premises environments with an emphasis on performance and availability for HPC workloads.

• Establish and monitor infrastructure metrics, resource utilization, and more.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience with HPC platforms, including familiarity with accelerators (e.g., GPU), HPC schedulers (e.g., Altair Grid Engine, Slurm), Kubernetes platforms, and container technologies (Docker, Apptainer).

• Proven experience with HPC workloads, infrastructure, and cluster architectures.

• Proficiency in using the Linux command line, troubleshooting Linux issues, and managing HPC administration.

• Experience with DevOps tools such as Github, Chef, Ansible, and Terraform.

• Background in automating infrastructure and applications.

• A strong desire for continuous learning and keeping up-to-date with new technologies, infrastructure trends, and methodologies in the HPC sector.

• Solid programming and scripting abilities in languages such as Python or Bash.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience as an HPC Platform Engineer.

• Proven track record of leading a global, large-scale infrastructure project.
