Engineer, Commercialization, Footwear

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Act as the representative for commercialization in all early product development cycle review meetings.

• Confirm the feasibility of development samples in relation to commercialization standards.

• Collaborate with brand and vendor development, engineering, and production teams.

• Ensure precision in pattern, fit, materials, and assembly techniques.

• Perform accurate laboratory testing to guarantee product performance.

• Oversee and monitor extreme fit trial schedules.

• Communicate progress to cross-functional stakeholders at each stage.

• Keep downstream teams updated on timelines to ensure BR and T4 readiness.

• Work alongside VF’s designated GMS mold tooling team.

• Verify sample and production patterns in relation to yield utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, technical, or production settings.

• Holder of a degree in Textiles, Equipment/Apparel/Footwear related fields.

• Subject matter expert in footwear, LEAN manufacturing, automation, patterns, laboratory standards, and testing/materials.

• Capable of simplifying complex engineering situations and information into easily understandable communication, both verbally and in writing.

• Knowledgeable in footwear with a strong emphasis on technical constructions, laboratory testing, material performance, fit and wear, LEAN production, automation, and accelerated development.

• Strong advocate for VF’s core values.

• Proficient in English; knowledge of Mandarin and local regional languages is an advantage.
