This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• This role reports directly to the Engineering Director and will engage in technical workgroups while serving as a technical authority.

• Aid in addressing complex and high-risk challenges.

• Contribute to the research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of infrastructure systems to fulfill current and future user needs.

• Collaborate with service providers, integrators, and cloud service vendors to adapt and maintain existing systems in response to evolving business processes.

• Execute tasks to ensure that service providers and integrators meet the agreed-upon service delivery expectations.

• Ensure the efficiency and optimal performance of networks, encompassing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the internet, intranets, and other data communication systems.

• Utilize approved AI-driven tools and automation methodologies to enhance modern IT operations, including responsible AI practices for troubleshooting, incident analysis, log review, documentation, root cause analysis, knowledge base development, service enhancement, and operational decision-making, all while adhering to CHN’s security, privacy, compliance, and data management standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build trust with diverse teams, including across racial differences.

• Demonstrated capability to adapt communication styles to suit various cultural contexts.

• Proven experience in working with multiple vendors to achieve cohesive solutions.

• Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends as required for 24/7 support.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience in multi-state/multi-affiliate settings.

• Capacity to respond to urgent situations during non-standard hours with little or no advance notice.

• Ability to function effectively in a team environment while maintaining confidentiality.

• Competence in managing incidents, tasks, and changes in ITSM.

• Strong understanding of cloud, virtual, and physical network infrastructure and associated hardware.

• Proficiency in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting cloud, virtual, and physical network infrastructure, including devices such as virtual network devices, wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.

• Ability to create precise network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communications.

• Capability to provide detailed information for hardware and software selection.

• Proven experience in network security across traditional, cloud, and hybrid environments.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and troubleshooting virtual private networks (VPNs).

• Previous experience in creating, modifying, and testing message structures, events, and connections.

• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.

• Prior experience in providing maintenance and support.

• Demonstrated commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Planned Parenthood.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, and external partners.

• Excellent leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently with professional discretion.

• Willingness to travel in line with the position's requirements, adhering to all CHN travel policies, including safety protocols when operating a personal vehicle.

• Proven ability to leverage approved AI-enabled tools for troubleshooting, incident analysis, log review, root cause analysis, technical documentation, and operational decision support.

• Understanding of responsible AI usage in an enterprise setting, emphasizing the protection of confidential, sensitive, regulated, security-related, and organizational data.

• Ability to validate AI-generated recommendations against authoritative sources, such as monitoring tools, system logs, device configurations, vendor documentation, ITSM records, and CHN standards.

• Foundational knowledge of how AI, automation, APIs, scripting, and workflow tools can enhance modern IT operations, infrastructure management, incident response, reporting, and service improvement.

• Ability to identify practical AI-assisted use cases, including incident triage, outage analysis, configuration review, documentation enhancement, knowledge base development, recurring issue analysis, and post-incident summaries.

• Familiarity with crafting effective prompts for technical troubleshooting, including providing relevant context, posing structured questions, reviewing outputs for accuracy, and ensuring the avoidance of restricted or sensitive data in unapproved tools.
