This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Migrate data from legacy systems to the current architecture, grasping complex systems you may not have encountered before — utilizing AI to enhance understanding and execution.

• Design and maintain a data lake in AWS (S3), organizing data layers (bronze, silver, gold) with governance and quality standards.

• Develop and sustain robust data pipelines using Python and AWS services (Step Functions, Kinesis, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.).

• Apply AI intensively in daily tasks: to write transformations, comprehend unfamiliar systems, expedite debugging, and create automations.

• Create automations and workflows with AI to streamline team processes (e.g., transformation scripts, data validation, documentation generation).

• Enhance the team's utilization of AI — share effective techniques, prompts, and workflows, promoting this culture internally.

• Engage in the complete development cycle, with the autonomy to propose solutions and execute them.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 years or more of experience in data engineering or related fields.

• Strong expertise in Python for building pipelines and data transformations.

• Fluent English — daily communication with international teams.

• Comfort in working with legacy systems and high complexity, migrating data between platforms.

• Advanced use of AI tools for development — it’s not enough to just know them; you must use them fluently in daily tasks.

• Critical thinking regarding AI output: the ability to identify when AI results are incorrect, incomplete, or unreliable — and to make corrections.
