Energy Engineer – Design of Energy Software, Energy Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Overseeing and implementing projects supported by the European Commission that focus on Information Technologies and Power System engineering. European Dynamics is a key player in energy research across Europe, contributing significantly to large-scale and strategic initiatives;

• Developing a thorough array of document deliverables and reports for R&D projects and business development activities. These documents include various components, such as requirements, conceptual frameworks, specifications, along with plans for implementation and integration;

• Leading efforts to enhance the field of Energy research and technology in Europe, particularly in groundbreaking concepts related to integrated energy-sharing platforms and communities, energy protocols and architectures, and flexibility markets and services;

• Assisting in the design and development of innovative products, services, and applications across diverse areas including energy data spaces, energy communities, energy storage, and associated digital technologies. This also encompasses aspects like energy efficiency, sustainability, user engagement, motivational strategies, and investment planning and financing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Engineering/ICT / Power Systems Engineering, ideally complemented by a postgraduate qualification at the MSc or PhD level;

• A minimum of 4 years of experience working directly with technical teams, demonstrating proven success;

• At least 2 years of experience specifically in National and European research initiatives;

• Experience in software design and development;

• Familiarity with Transmission/Distribution networks and Energy Wholesale Markets;

• Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Greek;

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, with the capability to thrive in a diverse team setting;

• Solid analytical abilities, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving;

• Experience in crafting Horizon Europe proposals and coordinating or executing relevant projects will be regarded as an advantage.
