Energy Code Compliance Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Our HERS raters receive their schedules from our office and have the flexibility to work from home.

• They adhere to their schedules to conduct testing on HVAC systems and subsequently submit the reports to our office through our web portal.

• Reliable transportation is essential to transport testing equipment and a ladder.

• This position may require driving between 80 to 120 miles each day.

• Candidates are required to possess and maintain the following: a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and state-minimum auto insurance.

• To assist with travel expenses, the company offers an auto allowance to help with maintenance costs and provides a fuel card for company-related travel.

• Candidates must be capable of conducting multiple inspections each day.

• Must successfully pass a background check and a motor vehicle report.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Must be HERS Certified or willing to pursue HERS certification.

• Attention to detail is crucial, along with the ability to perform work with integrity and genuine concern for customers.

• Candidates must be able to submit reports using a computer or smartphone.

• Must be capable of climbing high ladders and working in confined spaces (such as attics and crawlspaces).

• Ability to work in both hot and cold environments is necessary.

• Must be able to lift heavy ladders and carry equipment weighing over 50 pounds.
