This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee adherence to regulatory standards and internal company policies.
• Execute testing procedures and evaluations to pinpoint and rectify control deficiencies.
• Generate reports concerning regulatory compliance; implement designated CMS processes.
• Act as a consultant when needed, aiding the First Line of Defense in developing or reengineering processes to enhance compliance.
• Analyze risk indicators, red flags, and exception reports to oversee compliance and suggest corrective measures.
• Identify, evaluate, propose corrective actions, and, if necessary, resolve compliance challenges.
• Communicate compliance obligations and any potential non-compliance issues with business partners.
• Perform Risk Assessments as directed.
• Complete, submit, and ensure the quality of mandatory regulatory filings and reports required by pertinent state and federal authorities.
• Oversee the entire state regulatory agency examination process, including coordination with examiners, pre-exam preparations, drafting written responses, tracking findings, and compiling annual exam analysis reports for executive and board level audiences.
• Manage the regulatory and customer complaint process, encompassing intake, coordination of investigations, drafting responses, and monitoring SLAs across federal and state regulators.
• Develop, review, and sustain compliance policies, procedures, and workflows.
• Actively research to remain informed about relevant rules, regulations, shifts in business practices, and industry-related happenings.
• Design and uphold compliance reporting, which includes regulatory examination trends, complaint volume analyses, and CMS performance data for operational and executive stakeholders.
• Assist in the annual compliance training review process, ensuring content accuracy, validating regulatory relevance, and coordinating with training program owners.
• Mentor and evaluate the work of other Compliance professionals.
• Complete ad hoc projects as assigned.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in compliance or a related risk management discipline within a regulated sector.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent, relevant job-related experience along with recognized compliance certifications (e.g., CAMS, CRCM).
