This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Prospecting and Lead Generation: You will identify and nurture potential clients through proactive outreach, cold calling, and utilizing networking opportunities. This role is focused on HUNTING sales.
• Relationship Building: Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients, fostering long-term partnerships while ensuring customer satisfaction and renewals.
• Client Consultations: Engage with clients to understand their energy requirements, risk tolerance, and determine how 5 can best meet their needs.
• Continuously Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
• Sales Presentations: Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations, clearly articulating the benefits of energy products and services to potential clients while maintaining an executive-level demeanor.
• Negotiation and Closing: Effectively address client concerns and objections, with the aim of closing sales and achieving revenue targets.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work alongside internal teams, including but not limited to operations and management, to ensure a seamless customer experience and align sales strategies with overarching business objectives.
• CRM Management: Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to track leads, manage accounts, and enhance the sales process for efficiency and effectiveness. The primary CRM we utilize is HubSpot.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the energy sector (retail gas and/or electricity, sustainability, solar, demand response, etc.) or a related industry that translates well.
• Over 3 years of experience in B2B outside sales.
• Proven experience in identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and other avenues.
• Ability to thrive with a high degree of autonomy while embracing a team-oriented sales approach, showing resilience and steadfast determination in the pursuit of success.
• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively within a team while independently driving sales initiatives, contributing to both personal and collective success.
• Possess ambition, passion, teamwork, and grit.
• A BA/BS degree is preferred.
• Base Salary: Typically ranges from $75,000 to $175,000 annually, with the possibility of exceeding this range for candidates with outstanding experience and skills.
• Commission Structure: Uncapped commission potential, allowing top performers to earn well beyond the base salary.
