End Point Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, enhance, or oversee security protocols to protect computer networks and sensitive information.

• Focus on endpoint security, vulnerability management, and application security.

• Ensure that effective security measures are in place to protect digital files and critical electronic infrastructure.

• Address computer security incidents and malware threats promptly.

• Windows endpoint administration including Windows updates, third-party patches, firewall management, and vulnerability management.

• Oversee the Active Directory and Group Policy infrastructure.

• Manage mobile device security, including encryption and multi-factor authentication.

• Provide consulting support for computer security to the university.

• Monitor security logs across all systems and respond to any recorded incidents or anomalies.

• Document computer security protocols, emergency measures, policies, procedures, and testing protocols.

• Ensure endpoint protection software is regularly updated in line with departmental policies.

• Analyze applications, software, and policies within the enterprise environment and their impact on end-user workflows.

• Utilize PowerShell to automate security tasks, analyze security logs, and enhance the security environment.

• Engage with users to address concerns related to computer data access, security breaches, and programming modifications.

• Coordinate the execution of computer system plans with internal personnel and external vendors.

• Supervise the usage of data files and control access to protect information in computer systems.

• Design and manage desktop architecture.

• Administer Microsoft Server and Active Directory.

• Manage group policies effectively.

• Build and deploy secure golden operating system images.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with the ability to obtain CCNA Security certification.

• 3-5 years of experience with Ivanti, computer hardware, Microsoft Windows Server, TCP/IP, Google email systems, Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Cisco equipment, Nessus, ISE, and endpoint protection.

• Proficiency in network and computer forensic analysis, data security, and electronic threat identification and mitigation.

• Knowledge of PCI/DSS, HIPAA, FERPA, and copyright regulations.

• Experience in managing monitoring software/services such as Orion.

• Familiarity with asset, inventory, and patch management software/services, including Ivanti and Ordr.

• Experience managing password management software/services, such as Secret Server.
