This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Act as the main internal point of contact and liaison for our 24/7 Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service provider.
• Take ownership of the internal response and coordination workflow when our external security partner escalates a confirmed, high-severity threat.
• Regularly assess managed security portals, threat hunting reports, and endpoint/XDR coverage status for our remote workforce.
• Oversee the technical integration of security alerts into internal team communication channels and centralized IT ticketing platforms.
• Conduct daily triage and manual investigation of signals from the cloud productivity suite, access logs, and application-layer telemetry that are not fully addressed by external tools.
• Collect and compile evidence logs from endpoint managers, identity providers, and ticketing systems to support our ongoing SOC 2 compliance frameworks and internal audits.
• 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, systems administration, or a dedicated IT Support role with significant security responsibilities.
• Practical experience with centralized Endpoint Management and XDR platforms (overseeing endpoint health, deployment compliance, and alert monitoring).
• Strong foundational proficiency in enterprise Cloud Productivity Suite Administration (particularly in managing security center settings, audit logs, and identity configurations).
• Proven ability in workflow logic – experience in establishing conditional logic, API webhooks, or utilizing low-code/no-code automation tools to connect various platforms.
• Outstanding communication skills – capable of interacting with internal remote employees clearly and empathetically during investigations.
