This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee all stages of employment litigation from initiation to resolution independently.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, discovery requests and responses, along with other litigation-related documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions, and engage in mediations, settlement negotiations, and various dispute resolution processes.
• Attend and advocate during court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, administrative hearings, and trials.
• Manage cases related to employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour issues, PAGA claims, and other employment-related topics.
• Represent employers in investigations and proceedings before federal, state, and local agencies.
• Provide counsel and guidance to employers regarding workplace issues, compliance with employment laws, personnel matters, and risk management strategies.
• Oversee discovery, motion practices, investigations, and case deadlines in both state and federal jurisdictions.
• Maintain direct communication with clients, offering strategic advice and nurturing strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with attorneys from various offices and practice areas to formulate litigation strategies and secure favorable results.
• Must be admitted to practice law in California.
• At least 5 years of experience in employment litigation.
• Proven experience managing employment litigation cases in both state and federal courts.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and present motions, conduct depositions, and oversee complex litigation cases.
• Exceptional legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Capability to independently manage an active caseload while prioritizing competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
