Employee Relations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee Tier 3 Employee Relations cases, which include disciplinary measures, policy violations, progressive performance management, ethics hotline investigations, and terminations, collaborating with both internal and external legal advisors to ensure consistent resolution.

• Deliver ongoing support, guidance, and coaching to people managers regarding daily employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and performance expectations.

• Provide essential Employee Relations and Labor Relations execution advice during organizational transformations, acquisitions, and business restructurings, while proactively identifying and mitigating operational risks.

• Regularly assess documented HR processes to ensure uniformity across the team, utilizing case data to produce reports, conduct root-cause analysis, and offer actionable insights to primary stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, showcasing expertise in Employee Relations.

• In-depth knowledge of labor standards, workplace investigation methodologies, and risk management techniques.

• Proficiency in both English and French (bilingual capability is a must).

• Outstanding conflict resolution and stakeholder management abilities, with a proven track record of forming partnerships in a complex, matrixed environment.

• High level of adaptability to change and the resilience to make sound, courageous decisions in high-pressure scenarios.

• Experience in a regional shared services organization is advantageous.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
