This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver a primary output such as a research piece, long-form essay, or report.
• Compose 1–3 op-eds targeted at specific outlets.
• Participate in one podcast episode.
• Contribute to CHT's wider content and media ecosystem.
• Attend three essential cohort meetings and bi-weekly check-ins.
• Mid-career professionals from diverse interdisciplinary fields with media experience.
• Knowledge of the human effects of technology.
• Policy analyst or previous government official specializing in AI governance, digital rights, or platform accountability.
• Researcher or junior faculty member in psychology, sociology, philosophy, cognitive science, communications, or science and technology studies.
• Journalist focusing on technology and societal issues.
• Advocate from civil society on tech accountability, digital rights, or the community impacts of AI.
• Understanding of the construction and decision-making processes of AI systems.
• $30,000 stipend awarded upon achieving key program milestones.
• Bi-weekly mentorship from the Senior Director of Strategy and Impact.
• Minimal assistance from CHT's Research Team.
• Support in editorial, communications, and graphic design for all deliverables.
• Media training and placement assistance through CHT's PR agency.
• A CHT email address and access to select CHT Slack channels throughout the fellowship.
• Inclusion on CHT's public fellows page.
