This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support Velera in cultivating emerging partnerships by assisting in the execution of essential collaborations with fintech companies.
• Influence the products and services provided to Velera clients through B2B partnership frameworks while ensuring alignment with the overall enterprise strategy.
• Lead the comprehensive cross-functional development of significant fintech partnership initiatives, from conception to commercialization.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize new fintech trends and market opportunities.
• Aid in negotiating key partnership terms through the development of business cases, financial modeling, and legal contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with Velera's technology teams to coordinate the technical integration design of new products.
• Convert user needs, market insights, and research findings into precise product requirements and strategic use cases.
• Ensure all relevant teams are prepared for commercialization.
• Monitor partner performance, risks, and dependencies; communicate updates to senior leadership.
• Curate and sustain strategic relationships with fintechs, clients, and technology providers.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in partnerships, fintech, banking technology, or related innovation roles.
• Strong understanding of banking technology, the fintech landscape, and emerging banking markets.
• Experience in structuring reseller, whitelabel, OEM, and referral agreements with other businesses.
• Proven capability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives with visibility at the enterprise level.
• Demonstrated success in bringing new banking products or services to market through partnerships.
• Outstanding communication, storytelling, and executive influence abilities.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with fintech and financial institution executives.
• Experience working with or supporting credit unions, community banks, or network-based ecosystems.
• An analytical mindset with strong business case development and financial modeling skills, along with familiarity in structuring legal contracts.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and customer-centric design.

• Understanding of the financial services industry and the associated fintech industry and products.
• Knowledge of technology integrations and architectural environments.

• Ability to represent the company to relevant organizations within and outside the credit union system.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, and project management abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to present analysis in a clear and impactful manner.
• Willingness to occasionally travel to industry conferences.
