This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.
• Oversee the implementation and execution of the Ethics & Compliance program across EMEA for the MedSurg division, which encompasses training, communications, risk assessments, third-party management, and the promotion of the Code of Conduct.
• Serve as a strategic and trusted advisor to business leadership.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance risks across various markets and jurisdictions.
• Review and provide guidance on high-risk activities and transactions, including third-party engagements, conflicts of interest, business programs, and interactions with healthcare professionals and organizations.
• Lead governance and oversight processes related to compliance.
• Act as the primary Ethics & Compliance contact for MedSurg in the EMEA region.
• Monitor essential compliance metrics.
• Support investigative processes.
• Propel continuous improvement initiatives.
• Report directly to the Regional Ethics & Compliance Leader for EMEA.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field, completed and verified prior to starting.
• Extensive experience in ethics and compliance, legal, audit, finance, or related governance roles.
• Background in the healthcare or life sciences sector within a multinational context.
• In-depth understanding of relevant healthcare compliance laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with anti-bribery and anti-corruption regulations, including the FCPA and the UK Anti-Bribery Act.
• Knowledge of laws pertaining to healthcare fraud and abuse, as well as industry codes.
• Proficiency in English and at least one additional language: French, Italian, or Spanish.
• Capability to act as a trusted business partner and influence stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to convert compliance requirements into actionable solutions.
• Proven leadership and ownership skills.
• Competence in driving initiatives and achieving results across various businesses and countries.
• Self-motivated mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Sound judgment in uncertain situations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with Concur, Salesforce, SAP, or Power BI.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without the need for employment visa sponsorship.
