Embedded Security Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Manage the complete lifecycle of both physical and electronic security components within data center and critical infrastructure projects.

• Supervise the quality of technical installations, ensuring accurate system integration, proper device placement, panel wiring, and adherence to global standards.

• Assist with site surveys, confirm existing conditions, and work alongside local teams to define and document technical requirements.

• Act as the on-site embedded security representative, closely cooperating with construction, MEP, and infrastructure teams.

• Perform regular on-site evaluations to confirm installation progress, sequencing, and technical compliance.

• Directly engage with integrators and contractors to address issues and expedite progress.

• Lead the functional testing of ACS, VMS, IDS, intercoms, sensors, physical hardware, and failover behavior.

• Assess door functionality (REX, DPS), camera performance, alarm routing, network logic paths, redundancy, and event visibility.

• Document outcomes, identify defects, and coordinate remediation through re-testing and sign-off.

• Observe and validate commissioning conducted by integrators.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant qualification in engineering, security technology, construction management, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Lenel OnGuard and Milestone XProtect (essential).

• Familiarity with ACS/VMS integrations, intrusion detection systems, intercoms, sensors, and IP-based security systems.

• Proven experience in validating functional tests and witnessing commissioning activities.

• Knowledge of installation methodologies, including cabling, containment, device mounting, and infrastructure routing.

• Experience working with perimeter systems, gates, barriers, turnstiles, and door hardware.

• Understanding of how physical and electronic systems integrate both logically and mechanically.

• Experience in delivering security systems within data centers, utilities, energy sectors, telecoms, transport hubs, or similar high-availability environments.
