Email Assistant – Part-time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Support the Associate Director of Digital Engagement in crafting the email strategy for Party at the Polls.

• Create and develop content concepts for the Party at the Polls email initiative and When We All Vote campaigns as necessary.

• Monitor and report on the performance of the Community Partner email list, pinpointing opportunities for segmentation and engagement.

• Compile and evaluate email metrics for Party at the Polls to guide strategic decisions.

• Construct and schedule emails using HubSpot.

• Provide general administrative assistance to the Associate Director of Digital Engagement.

• Execute other reasonable and related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent college graduate or currently enrolled in a college or university.

• Over 1 year of experience in writing and developing content for email marketing campaigns, preferably in a political, advocacy, or nonprofit context.

• Proficient in tracking and reporting on digital metrics, recognizing trends and segmentation possibilities.

• Comfortable with learning new software and tools.

• Strong skills in copywriting and editing.

• Familiarity with voter engagement or civic participation initiatives is advantageous.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.

• Interest in contemporary pop culture trends.

• Capability to remain flexible and organized while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Passion for engaging with diverse communities and individuals holding varying viewpoints.

• Personal and professional dedication to cross-cultural awareness and the inclusion of diverse backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientations, and gender identities.
