This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Provide engaging and immersive synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for elementary students.
• Tailor learning and differentiate instruction based on each student's mastery level.
• Enhance course materials utilizing approved asynchronous and synchronous tools.
• Maintain accurate grade records and uphold academic integrity among students.
• Make informed decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build and sustain a positive relationship with families.
• Communicate promptly with students and learning coaches/parents.
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Travel as necessary, averaging once per month and/or up to 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school events.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Valid North Carolina Elementary School Teaching Certification.
• Residency in North Carolina.
• Capability to pass the required background check.
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week.
• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during working hours.
• Skill in collaborating with teachers to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
• Ability to leverage student data to inform instructional strategies.
• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to adapt and embrace change to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.
• Preferred: experience working with the targeted age group.
• Preferred: experience assisting adults and children with technology.
• Preferred: experience teaching in an online setting or a traditional classroom environment.
• Preferred: familiarity with online learning platforms.
