This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Deliver targeted elementary course content in an online setting
• Provide both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, support, and guidance
• Foster relationships with families, students, and learning coaches
• Oversee the learning journey and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs
• Track student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system
• Differentiate instruction based on student mastery levels
• Enhance course content utilizing approved synchronous and asynchronous tools
• Maintain the grade book while safeguarding student academic integrity
• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion, notifying administrators of performance issues
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Communicate with students, parents, and learning coaches in a timely manner
• Assist families with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting
• Travel as necessary for professional development, student assessments, and school events
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active state teaching license
• Missouri Elementary Teaching Certification, or equivalent elementary certification from another state with the ability to obtain Missouri licensure within 60 days of employment
• Must reside in Missouri; candidates from surrounding states may be considered
• Ability to pass a mandatory background check
• Capacity to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
• Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during work hours
• Experience with the specified age group is preferred
• Experience assisting adults and children in using technology is preferred
• Experience teaching online or in a traditional classroom setting is preferred
• Familiarity with online learning platforms is preferred
• Ability to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data for instructional decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
• Capability to collaborate with fellow teachers and receive regular coaching
• Ability to adapt to changes to ensure excellent student outcomes
