Elementary School Literacy Curriculum Writer, Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create comprehensive curricula for Elementary School Literacy, encompassing scope and sequence, unit plans, and detailed daily lesson plans.

• Produce high-quality instructional resources, including student-facing lessons, text-based activities, writing prompts, discussion protocols, projects, assessments, and rubrics that align with grade-level standards.

• Curate and assemble diverse, high-quality text sets that represent a variety of perspectives and lived experiences.

• Ensure adherence to New York State standards as well as Zeta’s academic vision and desired outcomes.

• Integrate explicit instruction in literacy skills such as reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical analysis.

• Design performance-based assessments to evaluate both content knowledge and transferable skills.

• Collaborate with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum developers to maintain alignment and coherence.

• Revise curriculum based on feedback from educators, student outcomes, and assessment data.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• A minimum of three years of teaching or leadership experience in Literacy.
