This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Facilitate math classes in an engaging, clear, and student-focused manner
• Implement lessons utilizing Think Academy’s curriculum, instructional materials, and guidance
• Assist students in developing a solid understanding of G1-G2 math concepts
• Oversee a virtual or in-person classroom, fostering a positive and high-expectation learning atmosphere
• Evaluate homework and provide prompt academic feedback
• Maintain professional communication with students and parents regarding progress, performance, and educational objectives
• Engage in teacher training, lesson preparation, and continuous professional development
• Work approximately 30–40 hours weekly, with the majority of classes held during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
• Bachelor’s degree completed or currently in progress
• Strong foundational knowledge in math and comfort with elementary school math topics or higher
• Enthusiasm for teaching and fostering student development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Willingness to commit to at least one semester with a fixed teaching schedule (Fall semester concludes in Dec. 2026)
• Availability to work during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
• Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camp teaching, classroom teaching, or engaging with younger students is advantageous
• Background in math competitions (such as AMC or related experience) is beneficial, but not mandatory
• Must be available for a 5-day on-site training (paid) in San Jose, CA as part of the onboarding process
