This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Accountable for executing tasks associated with the implementation, adoption, enhancement, and support of the EHR system.
• Cultivates a comprehensive understanding of the assigned applications and demonstrates proficiency in navigating the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Engages with relevant personnel to collect information and observe existing workflows.
• Exhibits an understanding of both current and proposed workflows, documenting them using a flowchart format.
• Identifies opportunities for improvement and suggests solutions to optimize workflows for increased efficiency.
• Generates documentation that includes current and future state workflows, pros and cons, gap analysis, needs assessments, design specifications, build documentation, test plans, project plans, status reports, and transitional documentation.
• Conducts application testing, which encompasses scenario-based, integrated, and parallel testing.
• Employs critical thinking in problem-solving efforts and seeks to understand the root causes of issues.
• Communicates effectively with peers, informaticians, stakeholders, project teams, and leadership.
• Provides regular updates on work status and manages appropriate issue escalation.
• Completes system builds and documentation following departmental guidelines and adhering to change management policies.
• Actively contributes in meetings by listening attentively and offering both feedback and input.
• Develops training materials and facilitates training sessions in both virtual and in-person environments.
• Complies with best practices concerning information security.
• Participates in the team on-call rotation to deliver 24x7x365 support to designated areas.
• Offers remote and/or on-site assistance to end-users as necessary.
• Aids in system upgrades, patches, and monitoring activities.
• Assists in formulating department guidelines, standards, procedures, and policies.
• Engages in vendor review and selection processes.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) - (Required)
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience* (Required)
• Experience with Epic Ambulatory/Outpatient build (certification is a plus)
• Project Management: PMP Certification
• Additional Epic experience that may be considered includes Healthy Planet & Compass Rose Research Beacon Cupid EpicCare Ambulatory Specialty Modules (i.e., Bones, Kaleidoscope, and Dermatology)
