This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the Principal Technical Authority for Electrical Solutions.
• Lead all technical interactions by providing extensive electrical expertise during customer engagements and among internal teams, consistently showcasing ABB’s leadership in electrical solutions.
• Develop the Most Competitive and Compliant Solutions.
• Design the comprehensive Electrical solution utilizing ABB and third-party products and systems in response to RFQs.
• Estimate engineering efforts, identify and evaluate project risks, and collaborate with the Sales Manager, Bid Managers, Operations, and other Local Units and Divisions to deliver the most competitive and compliant solutions.
• Produce High-Quality Technical Offers.
• Create persuasive, customer-centered technical offers that clearly outline the proposed solution, demonstrate its value, and strengthen ABB’s position to win the opportunity.
• Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation.
• Assess ABB and third-party solutions and work collaboratively with Supply Chain to enhance competitiveness and profitability through effective discount strategies.
• Take a leading role in improving efficiency by documenting lessons learned and driving improvements to processes and tools.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment such as distribution HV Switchgears, MV Switchgears, LV Switchgear, LV Distribution Boards, UPS, Transformers, Packaged substations, Drives and Motors, and E-House.
• Understanding of the integration of electrical systems with control and telecom systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of electrical integration with Control Systems is a plus.
• Ability to read/create electrical system models using ETAP/Powerfactory.
• Experience in creating substation/E-house/Modular LER layouts.
• Capable of interpreting HVAC, Fire and Gas detection, Fire Suppression, Cabling, and Civil requirements.
• Demonstrates strong leadership in safety and integrity.
• Exhibits strong commercial awareness.
• Results-driven with a proactive “get-it-done” attitude; well-organized, capable of prioritizing effectively, managing multiple tasks, and applying pragmatic problem-solving with a systems-thinking approach.
• Displays strong attention to detail while maintaining a comprehensive view of the overall solution and objectives.
• Takes significant ownership; personable, reliable, and trusted by stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently convey technical expertise in customer-facing situations.
• Fluency in English is essential.
