This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the implementation of electrical safety strategies throughout the NAM Transformers organization.
• Assist locations in executing standardized safety initiatives and programs.
• Ensure adherence to corporate standards and regulations, including NFPA, OSHA/CSA, and IEC.
• Serve as a subject matter expert during audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Offer guidance on lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash, personal protective equipment (PPE), and practices for energized work.
• Educate and mentor health, safety, and environmental (HSE) teams, leaders, and technical personnel.
• Analyze safety data to identify trends and prioritize areas for improvement.
• Collaborate on capital projects to integrate safety considerations from the design phase to commissioning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical or industrial safety positions.
• In-depth knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA/CSA, UL, and IEC standards.
• Demonstrated ability to influence within a matrixed organizational structure.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% throughout North America.
