Electrical Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Enhance electrical estimating processes and templates for the construction of solar PV and battery energy storage systems.

• Document best construction practices, productivity metrics, and crew resource needs.

• Create, refine, and maintain project cost estimates in accordance with RFP specifications.

• Generate estimates from initial conceptual phases to advanced design documentation.

• Maintain comprehensive databases of methods, components, and productivity rates.

• Collaborate with teams in business development, engineering, procurement, operations, and project delivery on bid strategies and project expenses.

• Recognize project risks and aid in developing mitigation strategies.

• Engage in pre-bid meetings, client discussions, and leadership briefings.

• Conduct site visits as necessary.

• Prepare detailed reports aimed at enhancing estimate accuracy and project planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Background in large electrical commercial, renewable energy, utility-scale solar construction, or related domains.

• Familiarity with cost estimating best practices and tools or software such as Accubid, InEight, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in takeoff software, including Bluebeam.

• Capability to interpret intricate project documentation.

• Strong grasp of project complexities and principles of construction management.

• Proven ability to develop and refine estimating processes.

• Over 5 years of experience in estimating utility-scale renewable energy construction projects.

• More than 5 years of experience estimating underground electrical construction projects at voltages of 34.5kV and higher.

• Extensive knowledge of solar and battery storage systems.

• Experience in estimating substation and high voltage transmission line construction.
