
Electrical Engineer – VA Medical Center Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in all stages of projects (pre-design, design, construction, closeout)
• Examine plans, specifications, and shop drawings
• Ensure adherence to VA standards and relevant codes
• Assess power distribution, emergency power, and critical systems
• Review construction activities for compliance
• Detect deficiencies and non-compliant work
• Provide support for RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Perform site inspections
• Monitor deficiencies and ensure they are resolved
• Assist with testing and commissioning
• Contribute to project scheduling activities
• Collaborate with contractors and stakeholders
• Help resolve technical issues affecting project delivery
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Aid in the creation of reports and technical evaluations
• Offer insights to leadership and contracting teams
• Assess construction impacts on medical operations
• Identify risks associated with power systems and infrastructure
• Assist in developing phasing strategies to ensure patient care
• U.S. Citizenship (mandatory)
• Capability to obtain a VA PIV badge / pass background check
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5–10 years of pertinent experience
• Current **Professional Engineer (PE) license**
• Background in supporting commercial, healthcare, or federal projects
