Electrical Apprentice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Assist with the installation of wiring for PV string, DC, and AC feeder systems.

• Carry out plug-and-play module connections and manage the leads of the modules.

• Execute DC terminations and label wiring for string wires, combiners, and inverters.

• Provide support for AC terminations at inverters, transformers, and switchgear.

• Aid in electrical testing, including insulation resistance and voltage tests.

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to guarantee precise installations.

• Employ hand and power tools to install racking and modules according to design specifications.

• Engage in daily safety and work planning meetings.

• Complete tasks utilizing KE’s internal software systems for reporting and documentation purposes.

• Learn from leadership and pose questions to fully comprehend assignments.

• Communicate proactively with supervisors about any issues or deviations from the project scope.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be enrolled and in good standing in the KE Apprenticeship Program.

• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.

• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work under various weather conditions.

• Prior documented electrical hours are preferred (if applicable).
