This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training and program support materials that align with client priorities.
• Play a role in the creation of instructional materials and eLearning modules, which includes structuring content, storyboarding, and tool-based development (e.g., Articulate Storyline).
• Convert complex policy, regulatory, and technical information into clear and user-friendly content for a variety of audiences.
• Aid in the creation and implementation of assessments and knowledge checks to strengthen learning objectives and program outcomes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including suggesting enhancements to training strategies, processes, and tools.
• Conduct quality assurance and testing to verify accuracy, functionality, and alignment with requirements across deliverables.
• Review and amend program documents, PDFs, and e-learning materials to ensure they meet accessibility standards. Utilize assistive technology tools (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, ANDI) to evaluate content structure, reading order, alt text, tables, and hyperlinks.
• Test and remediate e-learning modules developed in Articulate Storyline to guarantee full compliance with WCAG and Section 508 standards.
• Ensure that deliverables conform to accessibility standards (Section 508 / WCAG) and adhere to organizational guidelines.
• Provide support for LMS integration, deployment, and content updates as required.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and team members to gather insights, validate outputs, and incorporate feedback throughout iterative review cycles.
• Establish and monitor metrics to assess training effectiveness, including knowledge retention, compliance adoption, and user feedback.
• Offer strategic recommendations to leadership regarding training enhancements, emerging instructional technologies, and workforce readiness requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or a related field.
• Over 5 years of experience in instructional design and eLearning development.
• Strong expertise in Articulate Storyline, particularly in accessibility features, testing, and remediation (required).
• Certified DHS Section 508 Trusted Tester.
• Proven experience in creating and testing documents and e-learning modules for Section 508 compliance.
• Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
• Familiarity with Section 508 / WCAG accessibility standards.
• Excellent writing, editing, and content structuring abilities.
• High attention to detail and capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
