This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, implement, and uphold EHS programs and procedures that adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to pinpoint hazards and suggest corrective measures.
• Lead investigations into incidents, perform root cause analyses, and create corrective/preventive action plans.
• Support environmental compliance initiatives related to waste management, air emissions, wastewater, and handling of hazardous materials.
• Organize and provide EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and management personnel.
• Participate in equipment installation, process modifications, and capital projects to ensure integration of EHS requirements.
• Oversee contractor safety programs and ensure safe work practices are followed on-site.
• Assist in emergency response planning, conduct drills, and support business continuity efforts.
• Maintain precise safety documentation, records, and compliance reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing workplace safety and reducing operational risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine safety processes and standards.
• Monitor and analyze regulatory changes that could affect operations.
• Foster a positive safety culture throughout all levels of the organization.
• Travel to company locations and training events as necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in environmental, health, and safety roles within manufacturing, construction, or general industry settings.
• Strong grasp of OSHA regulations, hazard communication, lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, and industrial hygiene principles.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and investigating incidents.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety, ergonomics, and practices for employee safety training.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS management systems.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaborate across various departments.
• Associate’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field (preferred).
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or ASP (preferred).
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems (preferred).
• Knowledge of arc flash, confined space, and process safety management programs (preferred).
• Experience in high-risk industrial or manufacturing environments (preferred).
