Editorial Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Assist authors throughout the content development process, providing editing services to ensure quality and adherence to educational and market objectives.

• Engage in product planning while advocating for content development requirements; collaborate with CPMs to identify and onboard royalty authors.

• Oversee author communications, timelines, and deliverables; support authors in producing effective, educationally sound content.

• Review author submissions to enhance onboarding processes and editorial assistance; address author concerns and escalate issues when necessary.

• Guarantee that content aligns with strategic goals and learning design; facilitate reviews, implement feedback loops, and incorporate market insights for ongoing improvement.

• Assess and edit author submissions, ensure adherence to workflow processes, monitor progress, and communicate potential risks to stakeholders.

• Oversee multiple vendors and subject matter experts, providing constructive feedback as required.

• Conduct moderate to extensive developmental and line editing to support educational objectives across all aspects of the content plan.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree, PG Diplomas, or a Master’s degree is mandatory.

• At least 5–7 years of experience in publishing is essential.

• A minimum of 4 years of project management experience is advantageous.

• Project Management certification, such as PMP (PMI) or its equivalent, is preferred.

• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet), trackers, dashboards, the MS Office suite, Alfresco, SharePoint, Confluence, and Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with product planning documentation, editorial templates, authoring guidelines, style guides, Smartsheet schedules, budgets, and collaborative tools (including AI workflows) is expected.

• Experienced with authoring tools such as Word, PDF, and assessment templates.
