This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide comprehensive editing and proofreading for intricate public reports, research documents, and presentations.
• Revise and rephrase content to enhance readability while preserving the authors' distinctive writing style.
• Ensure accurate spelling, grammar, and syntax throughout all documents.
• Maintain uniform style and formatting across all materials.
• Remove redundancy and discrepancies in content.
• Verify the positioning and numbering of boxes, figures, and tables.
• Ensure completeness and consistency of footnotes, sources, and references.
• Review annexes for any incomplete sections and ensure consistency.
• Create tables of contents and lists of acronyms.
• Proofread designed layout files to confirm they are ready for print.
• Collaborate with project leadership to adhere to deadlines.
• Facilitate content and workflow management by coordinating with investigators and team members.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of sources, references, and pertinent literature.
• Ensure compliance with CIR project guidelines and standards.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; a focus in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading complex publications and research reports is necessary.
• Familiarity with working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
• A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while delivering high-quality results is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of document formatting and design software, such as Adobe InDesign, is beneficial.
• Strong understanding of style guides like AP is necessary.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality are crucial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills are required.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team.
