This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Typically operates under the guidance of a Project Manager or more experienced Contractor IT personnel on a specific application.
• As a skilled programmer, autonomously develops, adjusts, and maintains intricate programs to support applications in a litigation environment.
• Converts program requirements into executable program code.
• Tests, troubleshoots, and refines programs to process data in alignment with documented specifications.
• Modifies programs to enhance efficiency and minimize operating time.
• Designs data entry screens and other user interfaces while implementing standardized reporting.
• Creates and produces specialized and ad hoc reports as necessary.
• Delivers oral and written updates to the Project Manager and/or senior IT personnel.
• Offers technical guidance and supervision to fellow programmers.
• May manage a small team of technical support staff at a document center or other location, coordinating the technical assistance provided at that site.
• Develops end-user and technical documentation and conducts training for all systems created.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance before starting (candidates do not need to be cleared at the time of application).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to function effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Requires significant, hands-on programming experience in the relevant systems environment.
• A minimum of two years of directly relevant experience is required.
• Generally, at least three years of overall programming experience is expected, including familiarity with large-scale database management systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• A comprehensive understanding of the Government's IT environments is highly beneficial.
• Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is very advantageous.
• An undergraduate degree is strongly preferred, ideally in computer science or information management/technology fields.
