This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Take charge of marketing for the Say It With A Condom Shopify store, overseeing the entire process.
• Implement SEO strategies (including programmatic SEO) to regain top rankings on Google.
• Design and carry out outbound email campaigns targeting health organizations, HIV groups, and college campuses (such as women's health centers and sex centers).
• Develop a marketing calendar centered around significant dates - Pride (June), National HIV Testing Day, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, National Condom Week, and World AIDS Day - and create related campaigns.
• Provide briefs to the creative director (once appointed) regarding new condom designs linked to events and current news, utilizing AI tools for rapid concept generation.
• List new products on Shopify and manage the daily operations of the store (light touch — no custom theme work required).
• Maintain relationships with current external contractors (PPC team, SEO, PR).
• Identify and introduce a select few complementary products (such as harm reduction supplies and safer-sex kits).
• Seek PR and media opportunities and pitch ideas when news cycles present possibilities.
• Proven hands-on experience in e-commerce marketing with measurable results.
• Proficient in SEO skills, with the goal of returning to the #1 position on Google.
• Experience in email marketing.
• Capability to run creative campaigns from start to finish, rather than merely executing someone else’s plan.
• Extensive and proficient use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) to enhance output.
• Comfort in marketing condoms and sexual health products; familiarity with the LGBT community and a willingness to advance messaging.
• Strong understanding of the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) - including who we are selling to (health organizations, HIV organizations, college campuses, corporate/event buyers) and how to effectively communicate with them.
• Additional points for direct Shopify experience, familiarity with HubSpot (or a similar CRM), capability to manage or oversee a PPC relationship, and experience with Klaviyo or a comparable email platform.
• $3,500-$4,000 per month* (final offer will be based on experience and suitability).
• 20 days of paid time off each year (7 U.S. company holidays plus 13 earned PTO days).
