This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee all daily operations of the Shopify storefront, including product uploads, inventory control, pricing adjustments, and order fulfillment.
• Enhance product pages for better conversion rates through engaging visuals, detailed descriptions, variant arrangements, and cross-selling techniques.
• Set up and manage Shopify applications and integrations, covering inventory synchronization, shipping solutions, email marketing, analytics, and point of sale systems.
• Monitor website uptime, quickly address issues, and collaborate with developers for technical updates.
• Handle checkout optimization, discount codes, gift cards, and the execution of promotional campaigns.
• Ensure mobile responsiveness, site speed, and user experience continually meet top industry standards.
• Synchronize inventory and sales data between online and physical retail stores.
• Keep the storefront updated with new arrivals, seasonal content, promotional offers, and accurate product information consistently.
• Conduct regular audits to verify that product descriptions, pricing, visuals, and inventory are accurate and consistent.
• Maintain overall site integrity by removing outdated products, fixing broken links, and ensuring uniform formatting across all pages.
• Act as the primary liaison for all vendors utilizing Village Retail's e-commerce platforms.
• Facilitate onboarding for new vendors to the platform, managing product setup, image standards, pricing, and inventory procedures.
• Proactively communicate with vendors regarding inventory levels, restocking requirements, and sales performance.
• Plan and coordinate product launches and promotional campaigns in partnership with vendor collaborators.
• Track and analyze vendor performance metrics, including sell-through rates, return rates, and customer feedback.
• Manage vendor expectations and resolve issues related to online orders, fulfillment, and customer inquiries professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of vendor information, product details, and pricing across all online channels.
• Negotiate terms for exclusive online offerings, promotional placements, and highlighted opportunities.
• Ensure all vendors adhere to quality standards for product photography, descriptions, and packaging.
• Oversee social commerce integrations on platforms like Instagram Shopping, Facebook Shops, and other emerging channels.
• Develop and manage influencer and creator partnership programs with clearly defined deliverables and performance metrics.
• Create and distribute affiliate links, promo codes, and UTM parameters for precise campaign tracking.
• Identify, recruit, and onboard micro-influencers and content creators who align with Village Retail's mission and brand values.
• Monitor influencer and affiliate performance and evaluate ROI for all campaigns.
• Take ownership of the complete email marketing strategy using Klaviyo.
• Build, segment, and maintain email lists utilizing advanced segmentation techniques to deliver targeted and high-performing campaigns.
• Design, construct, and send weekly newsletters that showcase new arrivals, vendor highlights, and promotional content.
• Create and continually refine automated email flows, including welcome series, abandoned cart recovery, post-purchase follow-ups, win-back campaigns, and back-in-stock alerts.
• Implement and manage SMS marketing campaigns that are integrated with the overall email strategy.
• Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, send times, and calls to action to enhance performance.
• Monitor email deliverability and uphold a positive sender reputation.
• Execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to boost organic traffic and search visibility across traditional and AI-driven search platforms.
• Conduct keyword research for product pages, collections, and content to guide optimization priorities.
• Optimize on-page elements such as title tags, meta descriptions, header tags, and image alt text throughout the storefront.
• Continuously monitor and enhance site speed and mobile usability.
• Track keyword rankings and organic traffic performance using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar analytics platforms.
• Monitor Google Search Console for technical issues and utilize search performance data to inform strategic decisions.
• Implement and maintain Schema.org structured data markup to support rich results in traditional search and assist AI engines in accurately understanding products, pricing, reviews, and availability.
• Apply Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to ensure brand and product visibility in AI-generated search responses across platforms such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.
• Develop and optimize FAQ content, buying guides, and conversational content that reflects how users interact with AI tools, enhancing the likelihood of appearing in generated responses.
• Establish topical authority through long-form content, including product tutorials, trend analyses, and expert guides that bolster both traditional rankings and AI visibility.
• Optimize product content for voice search by structuring responses to clearly and concisely address specific, conversational queries.
• Set up and manage Google Analytics 4, encompassing event tracking and comprehensive e-commerce reporting.
• Create, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns, including Shopping, Search, and Performance Max.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the Google Merchant Center product feed, promptly resolving product disapprovals.
• Oversee Meta advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, focusing on performance and return on investment.
• Implement and maintain conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager.
• Consistently monitor and optimize ROAS and customer acquisition costs.
• Develop performance dashboards and provide clear weekly and monthly reports to leadership.
• Respond to customer feedback channels and address e-commerce-related inquiries with professionalism and promptness.
• Analyze customer behavior data to identify friction points and prioritize optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with fulfillment partners to ensure that orders are shipped within established service level agreement (SLA) standards.
• Efficiently manage returns and exchanges for online orders in accordance with company policies.
• Develop and implement strategies aimed at enhancing customer retention and increasing repeat purchase rates.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce management with proven results.
• Expert-level proficiency in Shopify, including product management, app configuration, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of omnichannel retail operations and integration of online and offline experiences.
• Advanced expertise in Klaviyo, covering flow creation, audience segmentation, and performance analysis.
• Strong skills in email copywriting and design sensibility.
• Experience with SMS marketing is a plus.
• Demonstrated capability to independently establish, manage, and optimize Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns.
• Solid knowledge of SEO best practices and their implementation across product pages and collections.
• Proven experience in managing vendor or supplier relationships in a retail or e-commerce setting.
• Strong communication skills for ongoing vendor coordination and issue resolution.
• Ability to write compelling, SEO-optimized product descriptions at scale.
• Exceptional attention to detail in maintaining accurate and consistent product catalogs.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance insights into actionable strategies.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or Notion.
• Familiarity with AI tools in a professional e-commerce context.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented with a strong standard for how the storefront is presented to customers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fully remote environment.
