Dynamics 365 Technical Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sri Lanka.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical and solution architecture within the Dynamics 365 ecosystem.

• Design solutions that are both scalable and maintainable across Dynamics 365 CE, Field Service, Power Platform, integrations, and custom applications.

• Convert functional designs into robust technical solutions.

• Outline architecture for Business Central development while offering technical oversight rather than direct AL development.

• Create enterprise integration architectures and develop strategies for conflict resolution and system resilience.

• Recognize technical risks, constraints, and technical debt while providing suggestions for ongoing improvement.

• Serve as the technical authority for the development team.

• Lead code reviews to ensure engineering quality across various technology platforms.

• Define, document, and enforce coding standards, documentation protocols, source control practices, and deployment processes.

• Evaluate solutions for maintainability, scalability, security, and architectural alignment.

• Provide technical supervision and guidance to both offshore and onshore developers.

• Deliver the most technically challenging and architecturally significant development work.

• Develop reference implementations that establish engineering patterns and best practices.

• Advocate for configuration-first approaches when suitable to maximize platform capabilities.

• Aid in technical decision-making for complex development initiatives.

• Own and continuously enhance Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices.

• Establish solution management strategies, version control standards, and deployment pipelines.

• Drive release governance, testing standards, deployment safety, and rollback planning.

• Validate release readiness prior to production deployments.

• Mentor developers through coaching, code reviews, and collaborative engineering practices.

• Support the ongoing development of technical capabilities within the team.

• Identify capability gaps and implement actionable development plans.

• Cultivate a culture of engineering excellence and continuous learning.

• Collaborate closely with functional consultants to evaluate technical feasibility and solution design.

• Coordinate technical delivery across multiple simultaneous initiatives.

• Produce clear technical documentation and architectural decision records.

• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and delivery activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform development, including roles as a Technical Lead or Solution Architect.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE).

• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 Field Service (FS).

• Proficiency in the Power Platform.

• Knowledge of Dataverse.

• Expertise in Microsoft integrations.

• Expert-level skills in C#, .NET, Dataverse plug-in development, and JavaScript for model-driven applications.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams through code reviews, mentoring, and technical governance.

• Strong background in designing enterprise-grade solution and integration architectures.

• Experience in establishing and maintaining Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), source control strategies, deployment pipelines, and release management practices.

• Demonstrated ability to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions within Agile delivery environments.

• Familiarity with Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) and TypeScript is highly regarded.

• Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central architecture and AL development principles is desirable, although direct AL development is not necessary.

• Experience in industrial services, field services, trades, or similar industries is beneficial.
